Space Sciences and Strategic Studies

The future vision of the Space Sciences and Strategic Studies Division is to be the distinguished house of expertise in the field of space science and technology through continuous work in conducting theoretical and applied research and studies that include all scientific and technological disciplines that support the development of space systems, in order to enable it to provide services, consultations and solutions to problems. The Division is also concerned with being a source of economic support for the nation by providing the outputs of the space systems that it develops or supports in their development to the beneficiary entities that currently obtain these outputs from foreign parties at exorbitant costs.

The main mission of the Space Sciences and Strategic Studies Division is to conduct theoretical and applied research and studies in the field of space science and technology, in addition to conducting strategic studies of space projects and determining the optimal solutions for their implementation, including the main elements of space systems, including launch vehicles. As well as implementing projects to develop integrated space systems or their sub-systems. The Division is keen to cooperate with research and applied bodies concerned with space research or research supporting it from research centers, universities, the Egyptian Space Agency, as well as similar Arab and foreign bodies, through joint projects or studies. In carrying out its work, the Division takes care to follow modern scientific methods and keep pace with scientific development, and also takes into account international quality standards. The Division of Space Sciences and Strategic Studies is integrated with the National Authority for Remote Sensing, as the Authority is considered a representative of the Division’s most important client through the rest of the Authority’s divisions, which are among the most important sources of business requirements in the Division.
