The National Authority for Remote Sensing Participates in the Announcement of the Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Conference and Exhibition

The Authority supports investment and enhances the efforts of state institutions to create an investment climate based on knowledge and accurate scientific data.

 

The Authority plays an active role in shaping space policy and remote sensing technology in Africa.

 

Dr. Islam Abou Al-Magd, President of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, participated in the announcement of the agenda for the 28th Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Conference and Exhibition, which will be held in Cairo from October 19 to 22, 2025, under the slogan “Together We Can” and under the auspices of the League of Arab States.

In his speech during the preparatory session of the forum, Dr. Islam Abou Al-Magd emphasized the pivotal role played by the Authority in supporting investment and strengthening the efforts of state institutions to create an investment environment based on knowledge and accurate scientific data. He pointed out that the Authority contributes to many areas of national priority, including supporting the tourism sector, urban and real estate development, investing in mineral and marine resources, and preserving cultural heritage, in addition to investing in human capital through education and scientific research.

The President of the Authority noted that the political leadership has successfully created an encouraging environment for investment and developed infrastructure to support investors, considering these as essential elements for promoting investment and advancing societies.

Dr. Islam Abou Al-Magd explained that the upcoming edition of the conference aims to demonstrate the progress made in building partnerships with scientific institutions, to shape a future for investment based on science, knowledge, and information that supports investors and contributes to sound vision and precise planning for projects—investments that rely on accurate data and information to achieve the greatest benefit for all.

He also expressed his pleasure with the partnership of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, one of the most important scientific and technological institutions that relies on advanced satellite data technologies to monitor the Earth and periodically map natural resources. He emphasized the Authority’s active role in supporting investors through science, knowledge, and precise data. He further highlighted that the Authority has a long history in these technologies, numerous partnerships with Arab and African countries, and has played a key role in shaping Africa’s space and remote sensing technology policy.

Dr. Islam Abou El-Magd concluded his speech by stressing that cooperation and partnership are the best paths to achieving sustainable development, quoting:

‘‘ If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

 

The participation of the Authority reflects its firm commitment to supporting the Egyptian state’s direction in attracting investments, promoting a knowledge- and technology-based economy, and strengthening Egypt’s leading Arab and African role in research and development fields.
