The
Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences participated
in a conference organized by the Department of Environmental Health at the
College of Health Sciences in Kuwait. The conference, titled "The First
Global Conference on Environment and Industrial Health," was attended by
Dr. Adel Shalby, Head of the Environmental Studies and Land Use Division at the
Authority, and a host of leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from
various countries.
Dr.
Adel Shalby presented the Authority's activities and its pioneering role in
serving the community and the environment. He emphasized the importance of
establishing joint projects and research with the Authority and taking
advantage of its significant capabilities. He also invited experts to visit the
Authority to learn about its various activities, see its modern laboratories,
and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Dr.
Adel Shalby pointed out the importance of the Authority's participation in the
conference, which aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and research
findings among experts in environmental sciences and industrial health,
showcase innovative approaches and best practices in environmental management
and industrial health to promote sustainability and occupational health, and
encourage cooperation between researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and
industry representatives to enhance comprehensive solutions to environmental
and industrial challenges.
The
conference discussed several important topics, including industrial hygiene,
opportunities, challenges, and solutions; environmental technology and green
initiatives; artificial intelligence and data analysis for real-time
environmental assessment; remote sensing and satellite imagery for the
environment; and innovations to reduce waste and promote recycling.
Dr.
Islam Abu Al-Magd, President of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and
Space Sciences, emphasized the importance of the Authority's cooperation with
various entities and institutions, as well as its focus on cooperation in
scientific, research, and technological fields with local, regional, and
international institutions, to maximize benefits and serve the community and
the national economy.
Dr.
Abu Al-Magd stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships among Arab
countries to benefit from available resources and expertise, and exchange
knowledge and capabilities, explaining that these partnerships will contribute
to social and economic development and provide innovative solutions to common
challenges.
