The National Authority for Remote Sensing and Egypt International Technological University are signing a letter of intent to launch a new study program.

·         Introduction of a new remote sensing and space science programme at the International Technological University of Egypt.

·        Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd stresses the importance of technological education to provide the labour market with trained technical personnel.

·        Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi: The program will provide the community with many specialists in space and remote sensing.

 

 

Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd, Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Science, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi, Supervisor of Egypt's International Technological University, signed a letter of intent to cooperate in the presentation of a new programme for remote sensing and space science at technological universities for the first time in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Azza Shoukry, Dean of the Faculty of Technology in Cairo, and Dr. Osama Shalabiya, Dean of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences of the University of Beni Suef.

 

 

 

Dr. Islam Abu Al-magd explained that the new programme to be established is the first of its kind in all technological universities, noting that the Authority needs graduates of this programme, as many of the Authority's members have ideas and projects that need graduates of this specialized programme. To bring these technologies to the highest accuracy and highest level.

 

Dr. Islam Abu Al-magd stressed the importance of the path of technological education as one of the important educational paths to provide the labor market with trained technical personnel, noting that technological universities rely mainly on the application and exploitation of technology in the service of society, and work to provide students with the skills and experience needed to meet the needs of the labor market, pointing out that many modern study programs are offered that meet the needs of the industry and society.

 

The President of the Authority reviewed the importance of the TVET strategy in Africa that he had been involved in developing, where technical education and technological universities in Egypt were set up as a model to be followed and could be applied in various African countries. The aim is to integrate and improve the system of vocational and technical education and training as the key to increasing the competence of qualified and trained human personnel.

 

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi said that the graduate of the space and remote sensing program from technological universities will provide Egyptian society with many technicians specializing in the field of space and remote sensing, and it is considered an integrated program in which a technological university collaborates with the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences and the University of Beni Suef, pointing out that graduates of technological universities join their technology union, stressing the importance of linking technical education with technological education.

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi that they are in the process of signing a cooperation protocol with the Remote Sensing Authority; To create a new program for remote sensing and space science at technological universities, this program could be extended to other universities.

 

Dr. Osama Shalabiya said that the program will be remarkable and that many students are expected to attend, noting that the university offers modern study programs that are in line with the demands of the labor market, and offers practical training to qualify students and develop their skills and abilities.
