Prof. Islam Abu Al-Magd reviews the projects carried out by the Remote Sensing Authority to serve the state’s sectors.

Prof. Islam Abu Al-Magd reviews the Authority’s efforts in agriculture, food, fisheries, lakes, mineral wealth and geology.

Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd, Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, participated in the opening of the Fourth International Conference on Remote Sensing and Technology, hosted by the Regional Center for Remote Sensing for North African Countries in Tunisia.

Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd gave a lecture on the effective role and importance of the field of remote sensing, pointing out the use of advanced remote sensing technologies to support development plans at the local level in Egypt.

The lecture presented by the Chairman of the Remote Sensing and Space Sciences Authority addressed many of the topics and projects undertaken by the Authority to serve the state, both in agriculture and food, and to provide an inventory of crops and provide support to new promising areas for agriculture.

Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd reviewed the studies carried out by the Authority to serve the national projects undertaken by the Egyptian state, the most prominent of which are projects to protect fish wealth and lakes and how to support lakes.

The Chairman of the Remote Sensing Authority addressed the topic of mineral wealth and geology and how to conduct detailed studies on minerals and rocks that help in economic renaissance, as well as presenting advanced laser technologies and their use in monitoring electricity towers, monitoring encroachments on buildings, and some uses of petroleum stations.

The attendees praised the lecture given by Dr. Islam Abu El-Majd, and they also praised the support provided by the Egyptian government to the use of advanced technologies in remote sensing and digital transformation. They expressed their admiration for the excellence of the Egyptian state in this field, as Egypt is a leading country in advanced technologies, digital transformation, and in presenting development plans based on the knowledge economy. This contributes to supporting the implementation of national projects and advancing the efforts of the national economy.
