Introduction & Scope

The Egyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (EJRS), launched in 2010, is a premier, peer-reviewed quarterly journal published by the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS)  in partnership with Elsevier (Directory of Open Access Journals). EJRS embraces a wide, interdisciplinary scope, publishing high-quality research across remote sensing, geographic information systems, space technologies, and applications that aim to enhance sustainable development, environmental protection, and strategic planning (Scimago Jr.).

 

Metrics, Open Access & Benefits

EJRS is recognized as a high-impact journal within its field. According to Web of Science, its 2024 Impact Factor is 4.1, with a 5-year Impact Factor of 4.8 (Web of Science Journal). Additionally, SCImago ranks it in the Q1 quartile for Earth and Planetary Sciences (miscellaneous), with an SJR score of 0.892 for 2024 and an H-index of 66 (Scimago Jr.). Based on Scopus data, its Impact Score (analogous to two-year citation average) stands at 5.08, showing consistent growth from previous years. The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 1200, with a waiver policy available for eligible authors.
